Can we spend a night in a tree house with children?
We have special family tree houses that are suitable for children over 2. They stand at five meters high and have safety nets designed for the youngest. The couple tree houses are suitable for children over 8 and are perched from 8 to 10 meters high. For further details, look at each tree house’s description.
What do we need to think about before we arrive?
The tree-houses are reachable thanks to a staircase (a simple or a spiral one). You don’t need any special equipment because the beds are already made or any special outfits. Just wear comfortable clothing and bring your personal toiletries (we don’t provide towels). During the winter period, bring winter clothes. We will provide you with the bedding and lamps.
At what time do we need to arrive?
You can arrive between 3 pm and 6 pm (4 pm and 7 pm in july and august) In order to welcome you the best way possible, we kindly ask you to inform us of your arrival hour 48 hours before (by email or phone).
Can we have dinner in the tree house?
For safety reasons, it is strictly forbidden to cook in the tree houses. In order to take full advantage of your stay, we can offer, as an option, packed-in-a-basket meals that will be left at the foot of your tree around 7 pm. Those baskets need to be ordered no later than 24 hours before your arrival (by mail or phone). You can also go to a restaurant nearby or come with your picnic.
How do the composting toilets work?
Our tree houses don’t have water. But you have at your disposal composting toilets. Don’t worry about it, it works just like the one you have at home. The only thing that changes is that you have to put sawdust instead of flushing the toilet! The sawdust absorbs the unpleasant odors and drains the rest.
Are the tree houses warm during the winter period?
In all of our tree houses, you have at your disposal an electric heating to warm up the bedroom during the winter period. For those who are really sensitive to the cold, we can provide you with additional blankets.
And how about the breakfast?
The price of the night includes a breakfast with croissant, bread and hot beverages. When you check-in, we ask you to choose what you would like: which hot beverage? Your breakfast will then be served from 8.30 am to 9 am. When the bell rings, you will know that your breakfast has arrived. Then, you will just have to hoist it to eat it on your terrace!
At what time do we need to leave the tree house?
You can enjoy your tree house until 11 am. Then, we will wait for you at our office for the check-out formalities. All impressions and comments are welcomed!
What are the cancellation conditions (if we cancel our stay)?
In case of serious illness, serious accident or death and on presentation of a medical certificate or death certificate, the specific guarantee will enable the total refund of your payment.
For any stay cancelled more than 30 days before arrival, for reasons not included in the clauses of the specific guarantee as mentioned above, the equivalent of 30% of the total amount of your stay will be retained. Between 30 and 8 days before arrival, 60% of the total amount will be retained. For any stay cancelled within 7 days before arrival, for any stay interrupted for any reason or in ase of no-show, the total amount of your stay will be retained or will be owed to the SARL « Sur un arbre perché ».
What are the cancellation conditions (by the SARL Sur un arbre perché)?
In case of planned external occurrence beyond our control such as bad weather conditions, gale or thunderstorm, the direction reserves the right to cancel your stay for reasons of security. In such a case, your stay in a tree-house can be postponed within 12 months. We can offer you a gift voucher valid one year. If none of these proposals are suitable to you, the total refund of your payment would be possible. No further compensation could be claimed.
